May 2014 Continued. Completed the two small swinging doors. I like the look. Hung some of my tin signs. My wife thought the barn needed a flower pot. Started to build a little water shed roof over the sliding door rails. Experimenting with cedar shingles to see how that will look.

June 2014 3 sliding doors done and hung, one to go..... They are heavy. Let's stand back and take a look. One without the truck and tractor photo bomb....Oops, left one door open Doors closed..... They look awful bright..... I guess a year or two of New England weathering will gray them up just fine.

Very nice. Do you have a couple of pictures taken from the inside that you could post? Any estimate as to how much each sliding door weighs?

I might have some pictures taken inside...I'll take a look. I'm not sure how much the doors weigh but I guess it could be calculated. Each of the 4 sliding doors are 76" x 117", 1" thick white pine. It may be that they seem heavy because they're awkward.

Aug. 2014 My other shop only has 8 foot ceilings and the barn has 12 so.....I decided to utilize the space. Some preparation and layout required.

I meant to say, pictures of the inside of the doors, however any inside pictures will work. Boy do I wish I was putting in a lift.

The T-Bucket was the first one on the new amusement ride. Plus it's one of my lightest vehicles. Baby steps. The boss showing off her brute strength. That's a serious set of barbells. Dave, This photo shows the inside of the doors a little bit (Right side of image). They are ship-lapped. I'll try to get a better photo of the inside of the doors closed and post soon.

I meant to say, pictures of the inside of the doors, however any inside pictures will work. Boy do I wish I was putting in a lift. I don't know why but I really didn't have any pictures of the inside of doors so I snapped a few tonight. Here are the inside of the two little swinging doors. The "L" shaped hardware on the bottom of the doors are to hold them open by dogging into the gravel when open. four sliding/hanging doors. I need to finish trimming on the inside. Never enough time to finish projects. Better view of the North bay doors. Plow and wheel chains on tractor, ready for that dreaded white stuff that is inevitable here. Center bay and smaller swinging doors (South).

Brewswane, Thanks for the kind words. High ceilings also make for great seasonal storage. Cold enough now where I don't we will be doing any more kayaking.

Good job on those battens. I know first hand how much work that is.

The lion share of the battens are done but I still have some trim work to do. This will have to wait for warmer weather.
