Fidler, Looks like there is a bit of work to do there. I would defiantly take my time and save it. Lot of character there. Looks like a lot of dry storage there if nothing else. Are the new posts setting directly on the ground do you know?

Are the new posts setting directly on the ground do you know? All of the posts are in concrete but it looks like they have been done at different times over the years. This is a photo of the newest supports that were added by a contractor according to the previous owners. The center support looks like an old telephone pole but it is in concrete also. The supports continue nn the 2nd and third floors so it seems like the barn is relatively stable.

This is a inside of the barn that is up against the lean to. This is an old telephone pole that looks like it is in concrete. It is in the center of the barn. This shows one of the posts that appears to be the newest support added. They cut holes in the stall flooring and embedded the posts in cement.
