Over 100 years old, an old horse barn that has been added onto over the years. Spot for a carriage, corn crib opened up and attached to the side, space turned into a tack room, and some extra concrete attached to all of that. Along with some bad repairs and normal wear and tear, my plan is to start at one end and make the needed repairs. Attachments:

The barn looks like it is structurally sound and will make a great save. Please keep us posted with more pictures also.

3j, Neat old barn. Looks in pretty good shape structurally. Roof good and straight, siding good. What are you using it for? What needs to be done? Where are you located?

2 of the old horse stalls have been used to keep chickens, the other 2 have been cleaned out recently. The rest has the mower, some old barn wood , yard tools, and bunches of other stuff. The roof could be replaced and is in the process of being straighten and pulled back into place.

The last side has a 20 x 40 area that looks like it was going to be stalls but never finished.

Wow, that has the old barn "aesthetic" nailed. It is a great looking structure. What does it look like inside?

Here is the hay loft, the cables are there to help keep the roof from sagging. This side of the wall is bowed out about 4 inches and broken in this spot.

3J, Did you install the cables to stop the spread, or were they there before? Looks like there is still hay in the mow, do feed critters? John

John Yes, I installed the cables afew years ago to stop the spread. Just recently I added comealongs to pull it back, I have about 4 more inches to go. The hay in the mow was down in the stall and home to a family of skunks. The good bales went to were the are now. The skunks went to a new home.
