Hello - Would anyone have information on this gable styled barn? Unfortunately due to insane real estate taxation, it was razed. Fortunately, portions of the foundation exist, and we have a few pictures from historical society. As we develop our plans for rebuilding a similar structure on the foundation, we are looking for any information we can regarding this structure. Presumably, the people that built it had more knowledge than the pole shed kiosk planner at menards. We think this barn was built well before 1900 and most likely by Norwegian immigrants. Farm was a dairy through the 1960's. Again, any opinions appreciated. In the area I have not seen any similar with such steep long roof.

Probably plank frame construction. Google it and see if that's what you want.
