That's amazing and quite aggressive (or optimistic)
I have often wondered if it would be practical to leave the barn skin in tact and build a shell over / around the barn.

Hi, It is totally feasible To Put A slim over the exterior. Most timber frame and Post and Beam houses built today are covered with SIPs [ A sandwich of OSB and foam insulation. we like to build a frame work over the outside, this allows us to straighten out areas that don't want to be straight. it provides a place to run wiring and insulation. If the Frame has some week areas that are not too far gone, this outer skin can be used to add strength and stability.

How high in the air did you jack the barn up? Was that to replace the stone foundation? love to see more pictures.

i will write more about this. Yes we lifted this about 8 feet in the air, this gives plenty of room to move around under neath.
